We’ve had many Broadway musicals turn into movies; however, this Cats movie has to be the weirdest one ever, don’t you agree? Tom Hooper’s adaptation boasts about the “digital fur technology” and it doesn’t end there… we’ll see Jennifer Hudson, Taylor Swift, and Idris Elba sing and dance around like humanoid felines on the gigantic sets of this film. If you are a careful movie observer and not just a buff, you’ll notice how December has become a month for many musicals in the recent years, for example, Mary Poppy Returns, The Greatest Showman, etc. Many are predicting that this movie is going to be as big a hit as its original show; we, as spectators can only wait and watch.
3. Spies In Disguise On December 25th

We never imagined that Will Smith will rock the audience even when he has got a CG (Computer Graphic) makeover done. His role as Genie in Aladdin blew every spectator’s mind away; right from a small kid to a grown-up. Everybody admired his comic timing in the movie, in spite of his CG avatar. And he’s back with another avatar, that of a spy in this movie. The irreverent entertainment that this movie depicts in its trailers, we sure are ready to welcome some holiday frivolity with this flick.

You can call this movie a death row drama in every sense. This Chinonye Chukwu’s movie captures the story of a prison warden. The role of this prison warden, Bernadine Williams is played by Alfre Woodard. The story speaks of the heavy, guilt-filled heart of a prison warden after he carries out a copious number of executions. The film captures the true, yet horrific essence of the corridors and offices which are covered with the stench of death.
While these are only our top picks of movies that are worth watching this holiday season, there are plenty of other movies that are releasing the first week of 2020 as well—The Grudge, Like A Boss, Underwater to name a few.
